SELECTION FOR THE FELLOWSHIP OF RA & JRF
The beginning of the Defence Research & Development Establishment (DRDE) goes back to 1924 when the then Maharaja of Gwalior established a research laboratory to explore forest products and mineral resources in the erstwhile Gwalior state. The laboratory came into existence and was inaugurated by the then Governor General of India in 1947.
Following Fellowship are available initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules), at a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-PM for JRF and Rs. 40,000/-PM for RA plus (House Rent Allowance is also admissible as per rules). Applications are invited from candidates possessing below mentioned qualifications:-

- Emoluments: Rs 40,000/-PM + HRA
Position 2
- Job Title: RA
- No of Fellowship : 1
- Subject/Discipline: Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Physical)
- Eligibility: Ph. D. in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/ Physical).
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Emoluments: Rs 40,000/-PM + HRA
Position 3
- Job Title: JRF
- No of Fellowship : 2
- Subject/Discipline: Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Zoology/Pharmacology
- Eligibility: M. Sc. in First division with NET qualified.
- Age Limit: 28 years
- Emoluments: Rs. 25.000/-PM
Position 4
- Job Title: JRF
- No of Fellowship : 1
- Subject/Discipline: Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Physical)
- Eligibility: M. Sc. in First division with NET qualified.
- Age Limit: 28 years
- Emoluments: Rs. 25.000/-PM
Upper Age Limit: 28 years for JRF and 35 years for RA as on last date of receipt of application. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC as per government of India orders.
How to Apply:
Type written application with complete bio-data should reach “The Director, DRDE, Jhansi Road, Gwalior-474002”, within 21 clays from the date of publication of the advertisement. Affix a recent passport size photograph on the right top corner of the first page of application. Please send a crossed Indian Postai Order of Rs. 10/- drawn in favour of Director, DRDE, Gwalior, along with the application. (Candidates belonging to SC/ST and ()BC are exempted from this payment). Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel and should produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview. Candidates will be required to produce certificates / testimonials in original at the time of interview. The candidates are advised to mention Code Number & Discipline on the envelope in which they send their application.
Applications without supporting self attested testimonials & without IPO (Except SC/ST/OBC) shall be summarily rejected. No. of JRF/RA required in each subject/discipline may increase or decrease as per requirement. It may please be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right for absorption in DRDO.
