The School of International Biodesign (SiB) Careers initiative is dedicated to nurturing healthcare innovators by integrating medicine, engineering, design, and entrepreneurship. Through the SiB Fellowship, participants gain the knowledge, mentorship, and practical exposure required to create transformative healthcare technologies.
Supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and implemented through AIIMS New Delhi and IIT Delhi, the program has successfully developed innovators capable of translating ideas into impactful products, intellectual property, and healthcare ventures.

About the Fellowship
The School of International Biodesign (SiB) is a premier MedTech innovation program dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to address critical healthcare challenges. With over eighteen years of experience, the program has successfully nurtured MedTech innovators from India and across the globe.
Supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and jointly executed by AIIMS New Delhi and IIT Delhi, the fellowship provides participants with access to leading researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry experts. Through structured mentorship and hands-on training, fellows develop the skills required to drive healthcare innovation, create intellectual property, and launch impactful healthcare ventures.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet any one of the following requirements:
- Master’s degree in Science & Other disciplines relevant to MedTech innovation
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in the above disciplines along with relevant professional experience
Desired Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
- Proven track record in innovation and problem-solving.
- Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Passion for entrepreneurship and healthcare innovation.
- Experience contributing to innovation-driven projects.
- Involvement in patents, prototypes, product development, or startup initiatives.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 35 years
- Age will be calculated as on 01 September 2026

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed based on academic credentials, professional experience, innovation potential, and alignment with the fellowship objectives. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews during July–August 2026. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview process.
