• Project Title: Prospecting Biodiversity for Drug Discovery and Sustainable Development IIIM-BD (MLP002622)
• Location: CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and CSIR-IIIM, Br. Lab, Srinagar

Available Positions

1. Project Associate-I (02 Positions): PA-02

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or allied areas from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • Candidates having experience in cancer biology, cell culture techniques, molecular biology techniques, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies, animal
    handling, drug screening assays, and bioanalytical techniques will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of drug evaluation, data analysis, and scientific documentation will be an added advantage
• Upper Age Limit: 35 yrs

2. Project Associate-I (02 Positions): PA-03

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Microbiology or allied areas from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualification: Candidates having experience in molecular biology techniques, cell culture, recombinant DNA technology, protein expression and purification, microbiological techniques, bioanalytical methods, and handling of laboratory instruments will be preferred.
• Upper Age Limit: 35 yrs

3. Project Associate-I (01 Position): PA-06

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualification: Candidates having experience in secondary research, cross-sectional studies, real-world evidence
  studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis will be preferred. The candidate may be required to travel to different locations for data collection and field-related activities.
• Upper Age Limit: 35 yrs

4. Project Associate-I (01 Position): PA-09

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in in Botany, Plant Taxonomy, Biodiversity, or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualification: 
  • Candidates having experience in Plant Taxonomy, botanical field surveys, plant specimen collection, domestication and preservation, identification and documentation of medicinal/ aromatic plants, and maintenance of herbarium records/databases will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of analytical/ software tools and biodiversity documentation will be an added advantage.
• Upper Age Limit: 35 yrs

5. Project Associate-I (01 Position): PA-11

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in in Botany, Plant Taxonomy, Biodiversity, or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualification: 
  • Candidates having experience in plant taxonomy, botanical field surveys, plant specimen collection and introduction of Medicinal and Aromatic in the CSIR-IIIM farms for agrotechnology development and captive cultivation.
  • Knowledge of analytical/software tools, documentation will be an added advantage
• Upper Age Limit: 35 yrs
