Scientist Job – Key Responsibilities

The Scientist is responsible for designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting on assigned research projects.

• Experimental Work: Conduct assigned research projects and experiments utilizing current concepts and standard techniques. Set up experimental designs and ensure proper execution.
• Data Handling: Perform data analysis, calculations, and draw conclusions from the progress. Summarize the research and communicate results effectively to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Record laboratory observations and information diligently in lab notebooks and databases, and document the experimental designs.

Educational Qualification & Experience Required For Scientist Job

• M.Tech. Biotechnology or other relevant areas.
• M.Sc Biochemistry / Biotechnology.
• Experience: Entry-level Industrial experience required.

Technical & Functional Skills

This Biotechnology jobs role requires core expertise in modern molecular and cellular techniques:

• Assay Execution (Hands-on): Hands-on experience in the execution of various ex vivo-related assays, such as:
  • ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay)
  • Western blot
  • Flow cytometry
  • Gene expression analysis using qRT-PCR (Quantitative Real-Time PCR)
  • Other basic biochemical assays.
• Cellular Work: Perform cell culture activities, including aseptic expansion and maintenance of immortalized cell lines.
• Multiplexing: Familiarity with an xMAP-based multiplexing platform for cytokine profiling is highly desirable.
• Collaboration: Ability to work independently or in association with senior scientists in the design and execution of ex vivo assays.
