About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and committed Junior Research Fellow (JRF) DRDO-funded project focused on the development of a transdermal drug delivery patch for preventing specific sensory deficits. This project integrates hydrogel-based drug release systems, nanomaterials, in vitro and in vivo preclinical models to develop an innovative solution for personnel operating in extreme environments. Responsibilities
- Design and develop transdermal patch systems with controlled drug release properties
- Optimize polymeric formulations for prolonged diffusion
- Conduct in vitro studies to evaluate drug release profiles and functionality in cultured cells
- Assist in the development and characterization of a preclinical model, including behavioral and microcirculation studies
Qualifications of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a DRDO-funded project
- A postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related life science fields.
- A graduate/postgraduate degree in a professional course meeting DST/DRDO (JRF) guidelines.
- Candidates must have qualified a national-level exam such as NET/GATE or an equivalent selection process conducted by a central government agency.
- Prior experience in hydrogel systems, transdermal patch development, drug delivery, cell culture, or preclinical models is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to the three-year project tenure is required.
