You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.
How you will contribute
You will support elements of the site’s quality system, including:
- Internal documentation and change management control, including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation.
- Internal audits, effective PDCA cycles, CAPA system management, and management review.
- Coordination of the eQCMS bi-annual review.
- Handling consumer complaints from start to finish.
- Serving as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

More about this role
Key Responsibilities
- Handling Salmonella positives, class 2 pathogen live pathogen cultures, and PCR.
- Making critical decisions to evaluate and interpret micro results, a highly skilled activity.
- Making critical decisions for batch release or acceptance based on visual interpretation of results by a senior microbiologist.
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with FSSC, FSSAI, ISO, and other regulatory requirements related to microbiology and food safety.
- Deep knowledge of APC, Yeast & Mold, Coliforms, E. Coli, S. Aureus, and Salmonella.
- Performing initial proficiency testing and verifying competency.
- Sampling and analyzing ingredients, in-process, and finished products by closely following standard operating procedures and protocols for both aseptic and conventional processes.
- Troubleshooting and running micro lab equipment such as PCR, autoclave, incubator, Milli Q, ensuring testing is completed in a timely manner.
- Developing and implementing the environmental monitoring program, PEM, and Zoning.
- Ensuring compliance and governance for the implementation of Testing Control and PEM Mondelēz Global Policy.
- Leading microbiology operations end to end.
Education / Certifications
- Qualification: M.Sc. Microbiology
Job-Specific Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Microbiologist in the food or pharma industry.
