Advertisement for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) to work under the research project entitled “Developing prognostic markers for paediatric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy using DNA methylation patterns to prevent sudden cardiac death in young adults” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.
Details of qualifications, emolument, and duration of the project:
Name of the Position: Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (No. of Positions: 01)
Eligibility Minimum Qualifications:
MSc in Biotechnology/Life Science subjects, with 60% marks with at least two years of research experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGCNET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE etc. National-level exams will be preferred.
- Candidates with prior research experience in human clinical samples, DNA methylation techniques are encouraged to apply.
Age Limit: Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement
Fellowship Duration: Initially for 1 year (extended to next year subject to satisfactory performance)
Fellowship:
- Rs. 40,600 per month inclusive of HRA (NET/GATE or national-level exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
- OR Rs. 27,300/- fixed per month (For candidates who have not qualified for National-level examinations as mentioned above) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
