POSITION FOR ONE POST OF PROJECT ASSISTANT

Applications are invited by the undersigned from eligible candidates for ONE post of Project Assistant in the following research project sponsored by the Central Silk Board, Government of India, at this Institute.

Title of the project:
“Identification of promising mulberry fruit yielding accessions – PIE06011MIC”

Tenure of the project: Sept 2024 to August 2027 or completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Essential Qualifications: Full-time B.Sc. in (Agriculture/Life Science) or relevant subject with first-class equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications (M.Sc.) and/or work experience in Agronomy, Biochemistry, or Sericulture.

Emoluments: Rs. 15,000/- per month consolidated.

Nature of Work: Recording of data on growth and yield of mulberry fruit. Biochemical analysis of mulberry fruit.

2. Time: 10:30 AM (Candidates should reach the venue by 9:30 AM for document verification).
3. Entry of Candidates: Permitted only until 12:00 Noon.

5. Upper Age Limit: 30 years as on the date of notification (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged and women candidates).
6. No TA/DA: Provided to attend the interview.
7. Position Nature: Purely temporary, on a contractual basis, and co-terminus with the project. Further claims for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
8. Canvassing: In any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
9. Decision Authority: The Director’s decision shall be final and binding in all respects.
