Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following position sanctioned under ICMR-funded project.

Project Title: ICMR Project “Identification of the kinase and its inhibitor(s) that potentiates irinotecan-induced phosphorylation of the proto-oncogene EVI1 in colon cancer cells”

Project Investigator: Dr. S. Chakraborty

Name of position: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical) (02 Positions)

Fellowship: Rs.56,000/- + @18% HRA per month

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

First-class Master’s degree or integrated master’s degrees in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Zoology from a recognized University.
OR
Second-class post-graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with Ph.D. in the subjects mentioned above from a recognized University.
OR
First-class engineering graduate degree of four years in Biotechnology from a recognized University

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: A minimum of 4 years of experience is required in a cell biology research laboratory specializing in solid tumor biology/Leukemia biology/Cell biology.

Age Limit: 35 years as of 08.04.2024.

Age relaxation will be given per the rules of Govt. of India.

Duration: Four years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier. Yearly extensions will be given depending on the performance of the candidate.
