POSITION FOR TWO POST OF PROJECT ASSISTANT

Applications are invited by the undersigned from eligible candidates for TWO posts of Project Assistant in the following research project sponsored by Central Silk Board, Government of India, at this Institute.

Title of the project: “Life Cycle Assessment of Mulberry Silk: A National Assessment” [Project Code: MTL01025MI]

1. Tenure of the project: Up to January 2025/completion of the project.
2. Essential Qualifications: Full-time B.Sc. in relevant subject (Agriculture/Life Science) or above.
3. Desirable qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications and/or work experience in Environmental Science/Soil Science/Chemistry/Sericulture/Ecology/Botany; working Knowledge of Kannada/Tamil/Telugu/Hindi and/or soil/water/leaf parameters analysis.
4. Emoluments: Full-time B.Sc. or above Rs. 15000/- per month consolidated.
5. Nature of work: Soil, plant, and water samples collection and laboratory analysis of these samples from experimentation, survey (data collection) from farmers across south India with headquarters at CSRTI, Mysuru.

, originals and one copy each of educational qualifications from SSLC, PUC/Higher secondary, B.Sc. etc., along with proof of date of birth, experience certificate, and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile numbers, and contact details.

Important points:

1. Date of walk-in-interview: 13th March 2024
2. Time: 9.30 AM (Candidates should reach the venue by 9 AM for verification of documents).
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 12 Noon.
4. Venue: CENTRAL SERICULTURAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING INSTITUTE, MANANDAVADI ROAD, SRIRAMPURA, MYSORE-570 008
5. Upper age limit: 30 years as on the date of notification (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged and women candidates).
6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
7. The above-mentioned position is purely temporary on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
8. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
9. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
