Applications are invited for a “Project Assistant” position in DBT funded project in the Dept. of Biological Sciences (DBS), IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal 741246. This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project mentioned above.
Project title: Campylobacter jejuni Outer Membrane Vesicles: Role in Host Pathogen Interaction and vaccine perspectives
Principal Investigator: Dr. Amirul Islam Mallick
Name of the Position: Project Assistant
Duration: Maximum 1 year.
Qualification:
Essential Qualifications: M. Sc in Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Molecular biology/ Microbiology or related field in Life Sciences. Preference will be given to NET/GATE/equivalent national level tests qualified candidates.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in handling microbiological samples, recombinant protein expression and purification will be preferred. In addition, candidates with experience, molecular biology techniques, and immunological assays (ELISA, Western blot, FACS, immunofluorescence) are desirable. Prior experience in animal experimentation (Mice/Chickens) will be preferred.
Pay scale: INR 20,000 per month plus HRA as per the rule.
