A walk-in interview will be held for selection of four posts of Project Assistants under the following CSB funded research projects. The candidates will be selected based on their qualifications, experiences and performances in the personal interview. The posts are purely on temporary basis for the project period only. Interested candidates may attend the Walk-in- interview to be held at the institute on 02.03.2024 (Saturday) from 10.00am onwards.
Position 1: Project Assistant (01 post)
Project code and title: PIB5025SIC – Characterization and evaluation of Soalu (Litsea monopetala) accessions for muga silkworm (Antheraea assamensis) rearing.
Project duration: 3 years (up to Jan. 2027)
Qualification: 1st Class B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences / Agri. Sciences
Desirable Qualification /experiences: Candidates having specializations / working experiences on Sericulture or relevant field will be preferred.
Position 2: Project Assistant (02 posts)
Project code and title: SPR5026SIC – Development of suitable Muga and Eri based integrated farming system (IFS) for North East India.
Project duration: 2.5 years (up to
Jul. 2026)Qualification: 1st Class B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences/ Agri. Sciences
Desirable Qualification/experiences: Candidates having specializations / working experiences on Sericulture or relevant field will be preferred.
Position 3: Project Assistant (01 post)
Project code and title: MOE5027SIC – Economic analysis of Tapioca based Eri-culture in Assam & Nagaland.
Project duration: 1.5 years (up to Jul. 2025)
Qualification: 1st Class B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences/ Agri. Sciences
Desirable Qualification /experiences: Candidates having specializations / working experiences on Sericulture or relevant field will be preferred.
Stipend / Fellowship: Rs. 15,000/- per month or Rs. 20,000/- for PGDS degree holders
Age limit: 28 years (as on 01.03.2024) The upper age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged candidates as per rules.
