The CSIR UGC NET Life Science exam is a three-hour test with 200 marks. It consists of three parts:

  • Part ‘A’ has 20 questions (30 marks) on General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis, and Research Aptitude.

3. Subject – Mathematical Science

THE CSIR NET, Mathematical Science exam, has three sections in the question paper, PART A, B & PART C. Part ‘A’ consists of 20 questions covering General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis, and Research Aptitude, with candidates required to answer any 15 questions. Each question in this section carries two marks, totaling 30 marks out of 200. Part ‘B’ includes 40 MCQs based on the syllabus, and candidates must answer any 25 questions, each carrying three marks. The total marks allocated for this section are 75 out of 200. Part ‘C’ comprises 60 questions testing a candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts, with an analytical focus and multiple correct options. Candidates need to answer any 20 questions, each worth 4.75 marks, summing up to 95 marks out of 200.
