Job Accountabilities
- Data mining from patent and non-patent literature for patent analytics, drawing inferences and providing recommendations
- Evaluate inventions and provide timely patentability opinions
- Evaluate and suggest design around options and/or identify the most suitable alternate mode of IP protection for non-patentable inventions
- Analysing patents for preparing technological landscape reports
- To perform a quality check of the patent application draft and ensure the claim scope is aligned with the organization’s business objectives
- Ensure proper prosecution and maintenance of the patent portfolio
- Evaluate external publications from the perspective of IP compliance
- Perform claim overlap analysis for determining freedom to operate
- Ensuring timely filing of Patents and completing all filing formalities
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
- Well-versed with key concepts of chemistry, chemical technology and/or biotechnology, biochemistry etc. and a basic understanding of concepts of new energy technologies and AI/ML.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and advanced functions such as Excel macros, and formulae.
- Knowledge about Intellectual property laws of India, the US, and EP preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
- At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or master’s degree in science
- Fresh to 5 years in a related area
