Name of Post – INFECTION CONTROL OFFICER- INDIRA IVF- GURGAON

Experience – From 1 to 6 year(s) of experience

Salary – ₹ 1,00,000 – 6,00,000 P.A.

Location – Gurgaon/Gurugram

Role Objectives

  1. The Infection Control Officer shall be the member secretary of the Infection Control Committee under the Head, Clinical and Lab Operations as Chairman of the Committee. He/she shall monitor the implementation of the decisions of the Infection Control Committee.
  2. The Infection Control Officer shall make policies, protocols and processes for infection control covering all areas of the hospitals and clinics. These would include OTs, Labs, CSSD, laundry, wards, OPDs, Biomedical waste management, Needle Stick Injury etc.
  3. The infection control officer will organize an Infection Control Training program for various categories of staff across the Indira IVF Group. The infection control officer will conduct education programs in Infection Control practices in conjunction with other departments and areas of patient care.
  4. The infection control officer will carry out surveillance activity for assessing Infection indices for Surgical Site Infections (SSI), Urinary Tract Infections (UTI), etc.
  5. The infection control officer shall devise and coordinate audits for assessing compliance to infection control practices like hand washing, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization, biomedical waste management, etc.
  6. The infection control officer shall oversee environmental surveillance activities for air and water quality, surface cleaning as required.
  7. The Infection Control Officer shall be responsible for formulation and review of antimicrobial guidelines and restricted antimicrobial policy in conjunction with the clinicians and Infection Control Committee.
  8. The infection control officer will monitor lab safety from the infection control point of view.
  9. The infection control officer will coordinate with the unit level Infection control committee or with the Centre Head for investigating staff for carriage of pathogenic microorganisms when indicated.
  10. The infection control officer will conduct a critical study of the results of the antibiotic sensitivity test to assess the emergence of resistant microorganisms.
  11. The Infection Control Officer shall be responsible for carrying out Epidemiological Survey in special circumstances.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLSET REQUIRED

  1. Possess good interactive and communication skills.
  2. Knowledge of Microbiology and Infection Control practices in healthcare facilities.
  3. Knowledge of Accreditation Standards (QAI/JCI/NABH).

EXPERIENCE – At least four years experience in Infection Control at a healthcare facility

QUALIFICATION – MSc Microbiology

IT PROFICIENCY – MS Office

WORK PATTERN – Standard duty hours
