Title of Project: “Genotype-phenotype relationship in rare genetic disorders:
Physicochemical analysis of mutations in GNE myopathy and phenotypic modulation by small molecule effectors” funded by DBT

Conditions:

1. The applicants chosen for the above posts will certainly be on contract for one year or
   period of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Candidates may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/ PH as well as attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will certainly be paid for attending the interview if called for.
5. Apart from sending applications in the prescribed format given below, candidates
   should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees.
   Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise.

GIVEN BELOW, through e-mail, to the Investigator of the project, clearly indicating the name of the project along with their complete C.V., e-mail id, fax numbers, telephone numbers. Only Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and also they required to submit attested copies of all their certificates and a Demand Draft of Rs 100/- drawn on Canara Bank or Indian Bank payable at Delhi/New Delhi in favour of the Director, NII (SC/STPH and Women applicants are exempted from payment of fees) subject to submission of documentary proof), at the time of interview.

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per DST OM
dated 30.01.2019.

Senior Research Fellow (Project): Rs. 35,000/- per month plus 24% HRA

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biotechnology or any
other stream of biological/physical sciences) with NET or B.Tech. (Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ IT) with NET or M.Tech. (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Computational Sciences) or M. Pharm and at least 2 years of research experience.

Desirable Qualifications: Prediction and analysis of protein structure and protein-protein interactions (PPI), Docking and MD simulations, inhibitor design, development of bioinformatics tools and software for structure-based analysis of PPI. OR Development of databases and software’s for genome analysis, installation/support of public domain software for structural bioinformatics in LINUX environment and system administration of computing/storage servers of Bioinformatics Canter, NII. In their CVs, candidates must emphasise their programming and database development experience.
