Project Name: Functional interrogation of interferon lambda 4 (IFN-L4) in human health and disease; Wellcome Trust-DBT India Alliance
Project Description: This project has a broader goal of understanding the genes and also the biology of IFN-L4. We will be using the intracellular parasite Leishmania donovani as a model system to understand the functions and also roles of IFN-L4 in modulating innate immune cells, particularly macrophages and DCs. We are looking for a well-qualified post-doctoral researcher to study the effect of
IFN-L4 on L. donovani infection in human and animal cells.Funding Agency: Wellcome Trust-DBT India Alliance

Essential Qualification: PhD in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Immunology Or related discipline.
Desirable Qualification: Ph. D with excellent publications and also experience working with the Leishmania model.
Nature of Duty:
Maintaining L. donovani culture; infecting cells and also animal models as well as studying the effect of IFNLs. Planning as well as carrying out experiments like ELISA, WB, ChIP, IP, qPCR, genotyping, FACS, Immunohistochemistry etc. as well as manuscript writing.
