- Deliver user documentation such as quick start guides, on-line help, tutorials, e-learning videos and animations for Thermo Fisher’s software products.
- Create and also manage templates for videos and also animations.
- Do production edits on graphics and peer documentation.
- Develop topic-based, structured, single-source documentation using XML.
- Author and also optimize learning content into reusable objects.
Required Skills, Knowledge as well as Experience:
- 4-8 years of hands-on technological writing experience.
- Skilled in technical publications tools such as Framemaker, XMetaL, Robohelp, Adobe
- Captivate, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experienced in single sourcing, topic-based writing, as well as DITA.
- Strong understanding of Lean/Agile/XP software development processes.
- Should be able to manage multimedia technical writing projects from start to finish independently.
- Ability to estimate the working time required to complete a task, or time required for a team to finish a task.
- Expertise in structuring content in topics that can be grouped as a single deliverable and can likewise be reused in other documents.
- Background of the life-sciences domain would be a plus.
Academic Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or similar degree and also/ or Master’s degree or equivalent.
Good To Have:
- Programming Java, XML, XSLT, CSS.
