Job Purpose:

Educational Qualification: An applicant with an MSc/MTech in Life sciences
Technical/Functional Abilities:
- Expertise in routine protein purification with affinity, size exclusion, ion-exchange chromatography utilizing AKTA FPLC systems (Unicorn software).
- Expertise in protein purification of antibodies, affinity-tagged, secreted proteins along with “problematic” proteins (low expression, poor solubility, intra-cellular expression, prone to aggregation).
- Proficiency in protein extraction and solubilization methods, protein refolding and purification via affinity, hydrophobic interaction (HIC), ion exchange (IEX), size exclusion (SEC) and mixed-mode chromatography.
- Expertise in the routine characterization of proteins including SDS-PAGE, SE-HPLC, as well as biophysical techniques.
- Familiarity with mammalian and microbial protein expression is a plus.
Experience: 0-3 Post-qualification
