Job Overview:
- Independently prepare lower complexity protocols and also CSRs including interpretation of clinical data as well as statistical results as appropriate.
- Work with even more experienced colleagues in the development of higher complexity protocols and also CSRs, as well as other clinical documents as needed.
- Independently prepare and review patient security narratives.
- Provide support as well as project management of narrative projects.
- Prepare and/or oversee the compilation of CSR appendices.
- Prepare documents based on Covance/Client Standard Operating Procedures and also specs as applicable, and also appropriate ICH and also regulatory/industry standards.
- Independently review Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) and also Tables, Figures and Listings (TFLs) for assigned studies to ensure appropriate data presentation for CSR purposes. Provide feedback on SAP as well as TFLs to project team as needed.
- Incorporate internal and/or external review comments on clinical documentation.
- Communicate with internal/external clients as needed to help with the achievement of project goals.
- Participate in meetings with internal as well as external clients, with guidance and support from colleagues. Lead meetings as appropriate.
- Responsible for project coordination and also adherence to project timelines and budget, as appropriate.
- Represent department in inter-department working groups.
- Provide training and also guidance to Associate Medical Writers and various other staff as appropriate.
- Comply with Covance internal processes and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Education/Qualifications:
Minimum of first degree in life sciences (or equal); advanced degree (e.g., PhD or Masters) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum Required:
- Typically a minimum of 1 year of medical writing experience or 2 years of professionally-related experience.
- Excellent command of written and also talked English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Word.
- Excellent organizational and also time management ability.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Scientific or Clinical research experience preferable.
- Good scientific writing abilities.
- Recognizing medical, pharmacokinetic and also statistical principles.
