About Project: Membrane Protein Biology Group
Fellowship and Duration: 31000/- + 24 percent HRA =38,440 Rs per month. The project is funded for two years. The position is available for the first six months and will be extended Dependent on the performance.
Qualifications: MSc/MTech degree in Biological Sciences/Physical/Chemical sciences. To Receive the whole salary, candidates should have cleared GATE or even CSIR-UGC NET or any other National entrance examination conducted by: DST/DBT/DAE/DOS/DRDO/MHRD/ICAR/ICMR/IIT/IISc/IISER etc., according to DST Notification dated: January 30, 2019. Only Indian nationals are able to apply for this position.
Experience: Candidates with expertise in protein overexpression, purification, Crystallization, mammalian cell culture, computational biology, target structure-based drug Design is going to be preferred although not compulsory.
Job description: Cloning, ion-channel overexpression in a mammalian cell line, detergent Screening using F-SEC, large scale protein purification and preparation for cryo-EM and crystallization. Structure-based small molecule drug design using Schrodinger suite.
