CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-ClMAP) is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Which is a sovereign body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The Institute conducts research in most frontline regions of Biological. Agricultural & Chemical Sciences. The institute invites qualified candidates for entrance in CIMAP-JNUPhD. programme (2018-2019) resulting in the award of a Ph.D. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Candidates that have completed M.Sc. In Life Sciences / Agriculture/ Botany / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Bioscience / Biochemistry / Plant Sciences / Environmental Sciences / Molecular Biology / Bioinformatics with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PH) and also have cleared CSlR-UGC NET Exam/lCMR-NET Exam / DBT-JRF Exam or some other Ex.am resulting in JRF/SRF fellowship tenable in CSIR-ClMAP are entitled to apply under the programme to perform innovative research in the region of Biotechnology / Bioprospection / Genomics / Plant Tissue Culture / Bioinfomatics / Plant Physiology / Metabolomics / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany and Phamacogonosy / Natural Product/Synthetic / Analytical / Process Chemistry / Phamaceutical Industrial Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Agronomy / Soil Science / Agriculture-microbiology / Plant Nutrition/ Crop Jmpnwement / Cmp Protection / Agricultural Economics & Extension/ Emironmental Sciences. etc.. The chosen candidates will be enmlled for Ph.D. programme at academic affiliation with the Jawaharlal Nehm University, New Delhi. Reservations are according to statutmJ of India standards.
The chosen candidates will need to finish Pre-Ph. D. courses in any one sub-disciplines of their interest as the core courses with optional courses, in two semesters, spread over a single year. On the successful completion of courses (OGPA 6.5/10.0 for general & OBC category and 6.0/10.0 for SC/ST/PH), students will qualify for enrollment as CIMAP-JNU Ph.D. scholar under the oversight of CSIR-CIMAP scientists accessible as manual to perform research on a scientific subject covered under aforementioned areas at CSIR-CIMAP.
- Admission into the CIMAP-JNU Ph.D. programme (August-2018) will be made only according to a written exam followed by an interview. Walk-in-interview is scheduled to be held on 30/07/2018 al 10:00 AM in CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow.
- Before the interview. Candidate must fill an application form which has to be accompanied with a nonrefundable processing fee in the shape of a Demand Draft for Rs.200/-(Rupees two hundred only) for a General candidate and Rs.100/(Rupees hundred only) for SC / ST/ OBC / PH candidate fee dram in favour of Director, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow. Application proforma may be downloaded from our site www.cimap.re.f.in. Candidates need to bring all of the academic/ educational certifications and evidence of award of fellowship in first.
- Application ought to be accompanied by attested copies of certificates and mark sheets from senior secondary level forward.
