Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC), a premier research centre was set up in 2008 and houses several multidisciplinary divisions including Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular biology, Nanoscience, Biostatistics, Stem cell biology, Proteomics and Bioinformatics. YRC has state-of-the-art facilities to support
high quality training and research in interdisciplinary areas of modern biology. The Centre intends to conduct the two year M.Sc. program in Bioscience from this academic year (2018-2020)Course Highlights:

Course Contents in Brief:
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioscience is a two year degree program to be awarded by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). This is a Credit based (total 96 credits) four semester program.
Semester I
Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics*, Genomics and Epigenetics*
Semester II
Nanobiotechnology, Stem Cell and Developmental Biology, Immunology, Toxicology*, Ecology and Biodiversity*.
Semester III
Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology and Omics Technology, Genetic Engineering* and Cell Culture Techniques*.
Semester IV
Project work/Internship, Value added certificate courses and Dissertation.
* elective subjects. 5 Open electives for Soft Skill enhancement in 2nd and 3rd semesters
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of Biological Science (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Genetics / Zoology / Botany / Chemistry / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Medical Lab Technology / Biomedical Science / Food Sciences & Nutrition / Environmental science and BE / B.Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemical engineering) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Merit cum Means Scholarships available
Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
Medium of instruction and examination shall be English.
