Sophisticated, Highly Accurate Cell Sorter Launched by BD
Becton, Dickinson and Company has now unveiled its BD FACSymphony™ S6 cell sorter, a platform that leverages the high parameter capabilities of the BD FACSymphony cell analyzer, giving researchers the ability to sort cell populations to better understand cell phenotypes for immunology and multi-omics research. The instrument will be on display at the 33rd Congress of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry this week in Prague.

The FACSymphony S6 instrument offers six-way sorting and supports analysis of up
to 30 parameters. It comes with a scalable architecture that could be upgradable to enable greater parameter analysis in the future. It additionally involves an ultra-quiet electronics system adapted from the defense industry that improves detection sensitivity to enable the sorting of rare cell types.
