Introduction:
Council of Science & Technology, U.P. offers summer research fellowships for two months to bright students of M.Sc. 1st & 2nd year to work with renowned Professors/Scientists from premier institutes of India. Approximately 30 such fellowships will be awarded in the year 2018-19 with a monthly stipend of Rs. 25000.00. The fellowship will be given only for those students who are studying in Uttar Pradesh.
Research Areas:
1. Physics (Materials Science, Electronics, Astronomy, etc.)
2. Biology (Botany, Zoology, Env. Science, Biotech, etc.)
3. Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Industrial, Medicinal, etc.)
4. Agriculture
5. Mathematics
Internship Opportunities in India:
- Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
- Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs)
- CSIR labs/institutes
- ICAR labs/institutes
- Central universities
- Other premier institutes
Eligibility:
Students presently (academic year 2017-18) studying in Post-Graduation (Science stream, either 1st year or 2nd year) within the state of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to apply for CSTUP Summer Research Fellowship.
Selection Criteria:
CSTUP-Summer Research Fellows will be selected on the basis of merit as
per following criteria:
50% students will be selected from U.P. Board and 50% from all other boards, therefore there will be separate merit list for these two
categories.Top three (03) candidates of UPCST Science Talent Scholarship Examination, will be directly eligible for CSTUP-Summer Research Fellowship.
How to Apply:
Applications will be received online on our portal www.cstup.org from 18.12.2017 to 31.01.2018. Selected candidates will be required to send the hard copy of the application form (generated online) along with relevant documents duly verified by the concerned college/institute to the mailing address of CST, once the merit list is announced.
Note: there is no fee for applying in this programme.
