The technology helps repair bone tissue within 12 months and can also be used to deliver drugs, such as vancomycin or gentamicin. The released antibiotics then treat patients with bone infections caused by multi-resistant bacteria over a period of time.

Among the investors are known names like European life sciences investors HealthCap and Lundbeckfond Invest. Consequently, Healthcap will now be a major shareholder in Bone support with a 15% stake.
