Biocon Academy is inviting applications for its new program, Biocon Academy-Faculty Development Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative to empower Biotech Faculty from various educational institutes by helping them upgrade their knowledge of emerging industry-specific technologies.
This unique program is aimed at the faculty who are teaching biotechnology to Undergraduate and Post Graduate students of Science or Engineering streams. It will enable faculty members to enhance their pedagogical skills to relate the scientific principles to the practices in the industry.
This 2-weeks full-time program will be delivered at Biocon Academy. The course will include classroom sessions with Subject Matter Experts from Biocon as well as industry assignments and training at Biocon’s state–of–the-art labs. The course has been designed to expose academicians to the latest equipment, technologies and processes being deployed by the industry.
Eligibility :
- The teacher should be a permanent employee of the organization
- Teachers working in self-financing colleges are also eligible
- The teacher should have at least a second class Master’s Degree with minimum 55%
- The teacher should have at least 3 years of teaching experience on the date of submission of the application

The
course will comprise 20 interactive lectures delivered by SMEs from Biocon covering various topics ranging from Quality, Regulatory, RnD to Manufacturing, Production and more. The course also includes 24 hours of experiential learning at Biocon’s high-end and world class manufacturing facilities, quality and research labs.Biocon Academy is committed to affordability and greater access in life sciences education, we are subsidising the Biocon Academy Faculty Development Program course fee by 55%. Participants will need to pay INR 6,500/- (all taxes inclusive) for the course.
