CSIR-CFTRI invites eligible candidates to appear for a Walk-in-Interview for a 1 [One] position of Research Associate I and 2 [Two] positions of Project Assistant Level II on a temporary basis tenable at the Department of Lipid Science, CSIR-CFTRI under the research project “Bio-Active Protein Synthesis in-vitro with Cell Free Platforms”, (GAP-0504) funded by Department of Biotechnology,
Job Title – Research Associate I / Project Assistant

Emoluments –
- Research Associate I – Rs.35,000/- (Rupees Thirty Five Thousand) per month plus 20% HRA as per Rules.
- Project Assistant – Rs.12,000/- (Rupees Twelve Thousand) per month
Qualifications –
Research Associate – I
- Essential – PhD in Science/Engineering in any area of medicine with research interest in Biotechnology and Life Sciences and with good academic records
- Desirable – Culturing techniques of cell-lines, biomolecular delivery system, exposures on the proteomics, Next generation sequencing (NGS), microarray and data analysis, protein expression systems¸ hands on experience in confocal and immunofluorescence microscopy techniques (either of two skills is an added advantage).
Project Assistant Level -II
- Essential – First class M.Sc./B.E. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Bioinformatics or equivalent degree with good academic records.
- Desirable – Experience in Molecular biology and cell culture.
Application Instructions:
- Candidates should not have exceeded 40 years for Research Associate Level-I & 28 years for Project Assistant level-II and of age as on 09.05.2017, i.e. the date of walk-in-interview for the positions.
- Age limit shall be relaxed for statutory groups and women as per rule.
- The engagement of PA-II and RA-I is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
- The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the project funded by DBT Government of India for the project (GAP-0504) for a maximum period of ONE year and is coterminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier or till the funds are available, whichever is earlier.
- The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
- No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
- If already the candidate is working in CSIR-CFTRI, a “No objection certificate” from the PI is mandatory at the time of interview.
