Sub.: Revision of Fellowships/Associateships
The Governing Body (GB), CSIR in its 186th meeting held on 16th July 2015 considered and approved the proposal for enhancement of rate of stipend in respect of various CSIR fellowships. The enhanced rates of fellowships, effective from 1St October 2014, are as follows:
I : JRF-GATE with degree in professional courses with GATE/GPAT qualification (tenable in CSIR and its laboratories only)
Existing Emoluments:
- 1st two years: Rs 16000
- After 2nd year: Rs 18000
Revised Emoluments:
- 1st two years: Rs 25000
- After 2nd year: Rs 28000
II : Shyma Prasad Mukherjee Fellowship (SPMF)
Existing Emoluments :
- 1st two years: Rs 20000
- After 2nd year: Rs 24000
Revised Emoluments:
- 1st two years: Rs 29000
- After 2nd year: Rs 34000
- CSIR-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (tenable in CSIR and its laboratories only)
Existing Emoluments – 1st two years : 35000
Revised Emoluments -1st two years: Rs 50000
Further, the GB, CSIR ratified the revision of rates of fellowships w.e.f. 01-10-2014 notified vide CSIR OM No. 6/Fellowship(ENH)/2k14/EMR-I dated 19th March 2015 in respect ofJRF-NET, SRF-NET, SRF-Direct, RA-I, RA-II and RA-111.
