Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, a constituent National Laboratory of CSIR, invites applications for the engagement of Project Associate – II (PAT-II) on a temporary contractual basis.
The recruitment is under the project titled:
“Development of a Gut-Protective Fruit-Based Functional Formulation for Autism: Evaluation of Gastrointestinal function, Gut microbiota and Gut-Brain Axis Health” (RDS026004).
This MSc Life Science Vacancy is available up to March 2027 at CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the R&D work as assigned under the project.
- Participate in research activities related to gastrointestinal function, gut microbiota, and gut-brain axis health.
- Perform molecular biology methods and laboratory-based experimental work.
- Assist in in vitro cell culture techniques and in vivo animal handling activities.
Qualifications
Essential Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Food Science and Nutrition / Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Biochemistry with practical experience in molecular biology methods.
- Prior hands-on experience in:
- In vitro cell culture techniques
- In vivo animal handling
Experience
Candidates must possess 2 years of experience in Research and Development in:
