Role Overview
We are seeking a Scientist – Molecular Biology with strong conceptual understanding and
hands-on experience in molecular diagnostics. The candidate will contribute to assay
development, optimization, and validation of molecular biology–based diagnostic workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform laboratory-based assay development using molecular biology techniques,
including:
o qPCR, RT-PCR, and isothermal amplification assays
o Nucleic acid extraction
o Gel electrophoresis
• Design, optimize, and validate PCR-based diagnostic assays
• Execute and support basic microbiology techniques as required
• Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation
• Support R&D activities aligned with product development timelines
• Follow laboratory safety, quality, and compliance standards
Essential Requirements
• MSc in Molecular Biology or a related life sciences discipline
• 3–5 years (or equivalent) hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques
• Strong conceptual knowledge and practical experience with PCR assays
o Preference for experience in isothermal amplification and qPCR
• Working knowledge of basic microbiology techniques
• Prior industrial R&D experience in molecular biology is highly preferred
