Name of post: Research Assistant – 2
Likely Duration: The total project duration is around three years. The initial appointment will be for 6 months, with a possible extension
based on performance.Consolidated Remuneration: Research Assistant – Rs. 28,000 + 18% HRA – Rs. 33,040 per month
Project Title: “Drug intervention for prevention of type 2 diabetes among women with prior gestational diabetes mellitus and pre-diabetes in South Asia (DIVINE): A Randomized Control Trial”

Project Investigator (PI): Dr. Sadishkumar Kamalanathan
Responsibilities:
- Conducting screening, recruitment, and follow-up visits of participants.
- Assisting in study-related visits of participants and delivering lifestyle modification sessions.
Eligibility Criteria for Research Assistant Job at JIPMER:
- Graduate degree in Life Sciences with 3 years of experience
- Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences with 1 year of experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
- MSc/BSc Nursing or Masters in Public Health.
- Fluency in Tamil and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Age Limit: Maximum Age: 35 years (as of March 5, 2025).
Selection Process:
- Written Test (Basic Sciences, Pregnancy, Diabetes, Endocrine Physiology, Research Methodology).
- Skill Test (Patient Counseling, Computer Applications).
- Interview (Clinical Trials, Research Methods, Subject Knowledge).
