Job Overview:

Microbiologist responsible for conducting research, experiments, and analysis in areas such as microbiology, water technology, or environmental science. This role involves coordinating with R&D projects, developing innovative solutions, analysing data, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The Scientist ensures compliance with scientific standards and contributes to advancing the organization’s research objectives.

Job Description:

• Execute scientific research and experiments.
• Develop new processes or technologies related to water, wastewater, or environmental applications.
• Analyse and interpret data, preparing reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure lab compliance with quality and safety standards (e.g., NABL, ISO 17025).
• Should be an authorised signatory for NABL reports.
• Stay updated on advancements in the field and integrate new technologies.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Microbiology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in scientific research in the microbiology field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in microbial lab equipment, research tools, and data analysis software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledgeable in microbial test methods of APHA/BIS/BAM/ISO.
• Skilled and experienced in testing water and wastewater.
• He or she must be NABL-approved Authorized Signatory for microbiology scope.
• Method development, validation & evaluation of measurement uncertainty as per International Standard.
• Sample Analysis – Water, Wastewater, and Sludge Sample analysis, coordinating with R&D projects.
• Method verification and measurement uncertainty.
• Critical consumables evaluation, media quality checks, culture handling.
• Environmental monitoring.
• Monitoring of instruments w.r.t calibration and breakdown/maintenance.
• ILC/PT raw data/calculations.
• Develop documentation and system as per Quality Management System as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
