Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement Quality Management System, procedures, and standards to achieve regulatory compliance, maintain GMP practices, and meet CQA audit/compliance timelines.
• Apply HACCP principles to ensure product safety.
• Identify and manage risks at the plant through escalation processes and periodic reviews.
• Establish robust quality systems and procedures for analysis, internal audits, product release, and process validation to ensure product integrity.
• Approve SOPs affecting product quality, stability studies, reprocessing, rework, and decisions on materials, products, and services.
• Maintain advanced laboratory management with modern precision instruments and well-established chemical and microbiological labs.
• Make quick decisions in uncertain situations.
• Ensure sustainability of systems and procedures through self-inspections and quality audits.
• Train and guide human resources to develop a skilled, organized, customer-focused, and performance-oriented quality function.
• Conduct sequential plant operational tests to investigate causes of out-of-specification inputs.
• Ensure adherence to SHE guidelines and compliance with CSHEC audit citations related to quality.
• Champion site-wide training programs to enhance employee competence and awareness of quality systems.
• Promote cost-conscious measures in the department to ensure products remain within cost norms.
• Coach and develop staff while fostering HUL Spirit & Operational Excellence culture using essential tools and techniques.
• Liaise with government authorities (FDA, Weights & Measures Department) to ensure compliance with their guidelines.

Key Requirements:

• Qualification: Chemical Engineering / M.Sc. Microbiology / M.Sc. Chemistry / M Pharm (Food Technology not preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in the relevant field (Pharma/FMCG industry).
• Preference: Knowledge of Tamil is desirable.
• Candidate Preference: Only female candidates preferred.
