About the Antibody Team
The Antibody team is involved in engineering and developing antibodies with a focus on reagent quality and specificity. Core activities include antibody design, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies in various immuno-applications. The goal is to advance product development and create product-specific information to promote research use.
Role & Responsibilities
Role:
As part of the antibody development team, focus on performance and specificity using molecular, protein, and cell biology methods.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct meticulous experimental planning and execution to meet program goals.
- Keep accurate records of results in data sheets and laboratory notebooks.
- Regularly review literature to stay updated with developments in antibody development.
- Compile and present data in written and oral formats; participate in team meetings.
- Maintain attention to detail and adhere to schedules.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Master’s with 0-3 years confirmed experience or a recent PhD (submitted within the last year) in life sciences, focusing on molecular biology, Next Generation Sequencing, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.
Nature of Experience:
- Experience in molecular biology techniques: PCR, primer and vector design, cloning, DNA/RNA extraction and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Next Generation Sequencing platforms, library preparation, and handling sequencers.
- Experience in bioinformatics analysis of sequencing data, setting up analysis pipelines. Knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
- Experience with immunoassays like ELISAs, Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry, or immunohistochemistry.
- Familiarity with antibody development platforms is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and statistical software (e.g., Prism).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with peers and leadership.
