Job Profile
Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in the area of nano-bio technology to work with a dynamic group of researchers at TERI, India and Deakin University, Australia. The applicant would be working primarily on synthesis of nanomaterials up to pilot scale, followed by thorough characterization and eco-toxicity assessment. Working knowledge about biogenic and green chemistry is desired.
- Prior experience in synthesis of nanomaterials, with experience in large/pilot scale synthesis as an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge in safety and eco-toxicity assessment of nanomaterials.
- Hands-on experience in data collection and characterization of nanomaterials using common techniques, such as DLS, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD, BET, XRF, and TGA.
- Data analysis, presentation, and report generation under the guidance of supervisors from TERI and Deakin University.
- Follow strict project guidelines as per approved work plan or any other work assigned by the supervisor.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences as desired from time to time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with an international team.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team.
Experience: 0 – 2 Years
Qualification
- Ph.D. in any area of science with specialization in nanotechnology/biotechnology/ biochemistry/ biophysics/industrial biotechnology/chemistry from a recognized university with an excellent academic record.
- Working and hands-on knowledge in the desired areas/techniques.
Skills
Candidates with the above skill sets are mandatory wherever mentioned. Industrial knowledge or work experience with an international team would be preferred.
