Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

Project Title: Development and evaluation of a recombinant BCG vaccine expressing multi-epitope antigens against bovine tuberculosis. PI: Dr. Bappaditya Dey.

Post Code: Senior Research Fellow (1 Position)

Tenable upto: One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (August, 2025).

Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc. with 2 years duration and NET/GATE qualification along with 2 years of research experience after Post-graduation in any of following relevant field.

Experience: (Candidate with prior experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.)

• BSL3 work experience, in vitro culturing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
• Cell culture experience: handling of primary PBMC cells, mouse and human macrophage cells, and in vitro infection of macrophages with M. tuberculosis and other Mycobacterium species.
• ABSL3 work experience in handling mouse and guinea pigs, immunization, blood collection, dissection, organ harvesting etc.
• Immune assays such as ELISA, FACS/MACS, Immunofluorescence Microscopy.
• LCMS based proteome and transcriptome data analysis

Fellowship amount: Rs. 35000

/- PM + HRA (If applicable) for candidates with National Eligibility Test (NET) or GATE qualification and other terms as per DST guidelines.

Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government Rules)
