Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) in Bhubaneswar is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. ILS is dedicated to conducting innovative research in the field of life sciences and invites applications from qualified candidates to join its dynamic team.

Job Opening: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical)

Project Title: ICMR Project “Identification of the kinase and its inhibitor(s) that potentiates irinotecan-induced phosphorylation of the proto-oncogene EVI1 in colon cancer cells”

Project Investigator: Dr. S. Chakraborty

No. of Positions: 2

Fellowship: Rs.56,000/- + @18% HRA per month

Essential Qualifications:

• First-class Master’s degree or integrated master’s degrees in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Zoology from a recognized University.
• OR
• Second-class post-graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with Ph.D. in the subjects mentioned above from a recognized University.
• OR
• First-class engineering graduate degree of four years in Biotechnology from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualifications:

A minimum of 4 years of experience is required in a cell

biology research laboratory specializing in solid tumor biology/Leukemia biology/Cell biology.

Age Limit: 35 years as of 08.04.2024

Duration: Four years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier. Yearly extensions will be given depending on the performance of the candidate.
