Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following position.
Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 position)
PI: Dr. Gunjan Mandal
Project Title: SERB funded project “Harnessing efficiency of spontaneous anti-tumor humoral responses and antibody-based immunotherapies in epithelial malignancies”
Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA@16%
Eligibility & Selection: Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible to apply. Candidates must have qualified national level exam such as NET/GATE/GPAT/BET, etc.
Candidates with knowledge in Immunology and hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques and having experience in handling mice will be preferred.
Age Limit: The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 06.03.2024. Age relaxation will be given to the
candidates as per Govt. of India rules.Application Procedure:

Selection Process: The selected candidates will not have any right to claim explicitly or implicitly for any post in the Institute of Life Sciences. The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the ILS website and intimated over email. A physical interview will be held where the selected candidates need to be present in person at the institute. The institute’s decision regarding the selection of the candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The appointment will be for ONE year. All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
