CALL FOR PROJECT RESEARCH SCIENTIST-I (NON-MEDICAL) POSITION

About: Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in a time bound research project sponsored by the ICMR (Project No. 6/9-7(292)/2022-ECD-II) for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details:

Project Title: Understanding vir Genes: Potential Mediators of Cyto-adherence in Severe Malaria from Plasmodium vivax
Funding Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Principal Investigator (PI): Prof. Ashis Kumar Das, Senior Professor, Department of Biological Sciences
Project Tenure: 30 Months Approx.
Job Description: The Project Research Scientist I will be involved in all aspects of the project. His primary tasks will include surface expression of different proteins in Pichia pastoris. He will also be required to standardize binding assays for the same and perform SPR studies if required. The incumbent will be required to write the base papers for publications in journals of repute and be actively involved in conferences
, patent applications and other relevant aspects as required.Qualification: First Class PG degree in the Life Sciences/ Second Class PG Degree in Life Sciences with PhD in Molecular Biology related areas. A candidate with PhD and good knowledge of molecular biology/experience with Pichia expression systems will be preferred.
Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 35 years as of the date of the interview.
Fellowship: 56,000 Per Month + 9% HRA (Subject to HRA Rules & Regulations)
