ICGEB PhD Biotech Job, Mol Bio & Life Sciences RA Position
We are currently seeking applications for a Research Associate position in the Microbial Engineering group at our company. Our lab, led by Dr. Syed Shams Yazdani, specializes in conducting industry-funded projects. As a research associate, you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting project aimed at genome engineering of bacterial strains for the production of a commercial product. This is a temporary project position with the potential for extensions based on performance and project objectives.
Position: Research Associate (RA)
Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing genome engineering of bacterial strains using synthetic biology and genome editing tools. Additionally, the candidate will arrange meetings with our industrial partner and prepare detailed technical reports on the progress made for the project.
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- In-depth experience in various advanced molecular biology techniques
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in genome engineering, DNA assembly, and genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9
- Proficiency in handling bioreactors
