Age: The age of the candidate will be reckoned as on the date of the walk-in interview. However, Age is relaxable for all the positions as per Government of India/CSIR instructions
How to Apply:
HRA will be admissible based on the sanction of the projects.
a) Candidates appearing in Area-It must be the resident of Uttar Pradesh.
b) The Application will certainly be provided at the venue on the date. Nonetheless, applicants may download the application in advance from the website www.nbri.res.in. At the time of the interview, applicants ought to bring one latest photograph, original documents together with a self-attested copy of certificates of exams passed (starting from matriculation), a certification indicating date of birth, caste certification (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and also experience certification, etc. Tentative mark sheets/certificates and also ‘result awaited’ will not be taken into consideration. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at the venue on the said date one hour prior to the scheduled time for necessary documents verification etc.
c) Mode of Selection: Via Interview. However, if a large number of applicants turn up, A screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions may be held for shortlisting the applicants for interview. The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, based upon their performance in the interview; a panel of recommended candidates will certainly be developed. The panel will be made use of as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the board. In case of turning up of large no. of applicants, the interview may continue for the next day.
d) The positions are purely short-term on a contract basis and also co-terminus with the sponsored projects. Further, the above stipend(s) is tentative and also the same will certainly be finally decided based on the availability/provision of funds in the relevant sponsored projects.
e) In the case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same right into percentage based upon the formula according to their University/Institute.
f) In case of a large number of applicants turn up for the interview, there is a possibility that interviews may continue till late in the evening or the next day also. Therefore, candidates are requested to make their travel plans accordingly.
g) To avoid any type of inconvenience. only those applicants who purely fulfil the eligibility criteria as well as have the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects ought to turn up for a walk-in-interview.
No TA/DA will be admissible.
For Post I
Stipend:
- Rs. 31000/- per month plus HRA
- Rs. 25000/- per month plus HRA
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Botany / Plant Science / Biotechnology / with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NET-JRF/ LS qualification or GATE.
- M.Sc. (55%) in one of the above subjects.
Desirable Experience: Working experiences on floristic survey, taxonomy, genetic diversity, quantification & mapping of diversity, remote sensing & GIS application, Plant Ecology & Population Survey, Documentation of ethnobotanical knowledge, evaluation of
economic potential, conservation & restoration of degraded habitat /the population of lower and higher plants (Algae, Lichens, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms)
For Post II
Stipend: Rs. 20,000 per month (As per funding agency)
Essential Qualification: First class graduation & post-graduation in Botany / Plant Science.
Desirable Experience: R&D experience in medicinal plants/ pharmacognosy.
For Post III
Stipend:
- Rs. 31000/- per month plus HRA
- Rs. 25000/- per month plus HRA
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Botany / Plant Science / Plant Breeding / Genetics/ Biotechnology / with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NET-JRF/ LS qualification or GATE.
- M.Sc. (55%) in one of the above subjects.
Desirable Experience: Research experience in the area of molecular markers development and its applications in the breeding of field crops.
For Post IV
Stipend:
- Rs. 31000/- per month plus HRA
- Rs. 25000/- per month plus HRA
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Botany / Plant Science / Biochemistry / Life Science with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NET-JRF/ LS qualification or GATE.
- M.Sc. (55%) in one of the above subjects.
Desirable Experience: Basic knowledge of horticulture/floriculture/tissue culture/apiculture/phytochemistry and working knowledge of computers.
For Post V
Stipend:
- Rs. 35000/- per month plus HRA
- Rs. 28000/- per month plus HRA
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Botany / Plant Science / Biochemistry / Life Science Genetics and Plant
Breeding with two years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and
Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific
activities and services along with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NET-JRF/ LS qualification or GATE. - M.Sc. in one of the above subjects with two years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology
Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable Experience: Research experience in tissue culture/ breeding of floriculture crops/ apiculture/ essential oil or secondary metabolites and value added product development.
