Applications are invited to attend Interview (online through video conferencing) will be
held for recruitment of the one positions of JRF in the Division of Plant Pathology purely on
the contractual basis under DBT funded Indo-UK collaborative research project “Genomic-led improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in mustard rape for economic and environmental sustainability” (up to Sept 2021 ). The position is temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project.

Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, candidates may choose for an interview through an online process. The eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with a scanned copy of the original documents through email to [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] by July 02, 2021. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed of further details regarding the interview by email or over the phone. Original documents of the candidates will be verified at a later stage.

Position Title: Junior Research Fellow

Positions: (01)

Name of the Project: “Genomic-led improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in
mustard rape for economic and environmental sustainability”

How to Apply:

1. For the details of qualifications as well as other requirements, please refer to in DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated 30-01-2019. The emolument of the above positions will be based on DST/DBT guidelines.
2. Age Limitation for the positions is 35 years max. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC as well as 5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST and also woman applicants based on Government/! CAR standards. The minimum age should be of 18 years as of the date of the interview.
3. The qualified candidates need to report for the interview 30 minutes before the scheduled time on the date of the interview for necessary formalities. Candidates appearing for interview should bring 2 copies of their biodata in the prescribed application format given below (Annexure I & II), two passport size photographs and also one set of attested photocopies of their certificates/ mark-sheets/ experience proof etc. Candidates must bring with them original documents at the time of the interview for verification.
4. Only the applicants having essential qualifications would certainly be entertained for the interview.
5. No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/ she has employment.
6. Applicants whose near/ distant relative(s) is an employee of the ICAR/ IARI. needs to declare it and also communicate this office based on the format given below. Such declaration should reach the undersigned by July 02, 2021.
7. Applicants reaching after a specified time may not ordinarily be entertained.
8. Canvassing in any type of form would lead to the disqualification of the applicant.
9. No TA/DA will certainly be paid for attending the interview.
10. The chosen applicants will not claim any kind of regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time-bound and also are co-terminus with the project.

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m.

Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in basic science or in professional courses (Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Genetics or various other related fields of plant sciences) chosen via a process described through any norms given up DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated 30-01-2019 i.e Scholars that are selected via National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and also GATE The selection process through a national level exam conducted by Central government departments and also their agencies as well as institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Desirable Qualifications: Desirable experience in pathological and biochemical techniques.
