CSIR UGC NET 2020 Exam Updates
In a recent tweet, CSIR HRDG has mentioned that the Joint CSIR UGC NET 2020 has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tentative dates for the same will be declared in the coming 5 weeks. The tweet also mentioned that the Certificates for the exam conducted in June 2020 will also be out by the same time.
Now there is confusion whether CSIR is talking about the Dec 2020 exam which was not conducted due to COVID or about the 2021 June exam.
As far as we understand, CSIR is talking here about the DEC 2020 Exam, for which the dates will be announced soon and the June 2021 Exam will be conducted as per schedule. But this is just an assumption, we will have to wait for further announcements Notice from CSIR HRDG.

JOINT CSIR UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted to determine the aptitude of Indian nationals for LS/AP (Lectureship/ Assistant Professor) or JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). CSIR NET June 2020 was held on 19th, 21st, 26th & 30th of November 2020, and the results of the same were announced on February 5th, 2021. The cut-off for the exam has also been announced. This examination was originally held in the months of June and December annually. However, the COVID-19 outbreak has delayed the exams to be conducted in the year 2020. According to recent reports, the incidence of COVID-19 cases is soaring in India. In order to curb the spread, authorities have decided to defer the exam dates.
