How to Apply:
- Age limitation: Max age 35 years for SRF/JRF (age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC), Project Associate: 35 years and Field Worker: 50 years.
- The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis originally for as much as 31-03-2021 or till completion of project whichever is earlier and maybe extended periodically subject to performance till the termination of the project.
- The chosen candidate will not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
- The interview for qualified applicants will certainly be held online, the details of which will be communicated to eligible applicants by e-mail.
- Reporting time for the online interview will certainly be communicated and also the candidate shall adhere to the instructions.
- The applicants will have to compulsorily fill in application form (according to the format annexed), all the scan certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certification either original or provisional and also a current photograph enclosed onto the scan application. Proof of experience, as well as publications additionally, require to be sent by email. The selected candidate will be required to produce all the original documents as well as a medical certificate at the time of joining.
- No TA/DA/ any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
- Only the applicants having essential qualifications would be entertained for the on-line interview.

If on the date of online interview such declaration is furnished and also found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be permitted to appear in the interview.

For Post I
Salary: Rs. 31000 per month plus 24 percent HRA for year 1 and year 2 and Rs. 35000 plus 24 percent HRA from 3rd year if continues in the same project
Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics
and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years’ bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or PhD in any of the above disciplines.
Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling of field crop.
For Post II
Salary: Rs. 31000 per month plus 24 percent HRA for year 1 and year 2 and Rs. 35000 plus 24 percent HRA from 3rd year if continues in the same project
Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics
and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years’ bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or PhD in any of the above disciplines.
Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling of field crop.
For Post III
Salary: Rs. 31000 per month plus 24 percent HRA
Essential Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in basic science (Life Sciences) or graduate/ post-graduate degree in professional courses (Life Sciences including Agricultural Sciences) selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc (as per the DST guidelines vide
SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019)
Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and
handling wheat crop.
For Post IV
Salary: Rs. 31000 per month plus 24 percent HRA for year 1 and year 2 and Rs. 35000 plus 24 percent HRA from 3rd year if continues in the same project
Essential Qualifications: Masters/M. Tech degree in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/
Life Sciences or related subjects from a recognized University.
Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling of field crop.
