Applications are invited on the prescribed form available in the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs. 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. along with attested copies of certificates and passport size photograph for the post of Junior Research Fellow provided in the Adhoc project, “Molecular mapping and transfer of yellow vein mosaic virus resistance in okra [Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench]”. CSS-08 (PC-6277) at a fixed salary of Rs. 25000/- +HRA for an initial period of 6 months from the date on which the incumbent joins or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier. How to Apply for PAU Vacancy:
The last date for the receipt of applications duly total in all
respects in this office is 25.6.2020. Incomplete applications will certainly not be entertained. The candidates ought to appear for an interview on 30.6.2020 at 10.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate intimation for the interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.The amount of first one month salary payable to the Junior Research Fellow will certainly be kept as security with the Head, Department of Vegetable Science and also it will certainly be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the service after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s salary. However, this will not hold good in respect of various other assignments in PAU.
Keep in mind: Applicant applied earlier in above-said scheme vide no 1204 -64 dt. 6.3.2020, need not apply again.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. (Agri.) B.Sc. Biotechnology/ Medical with minimum OCPA 6.00/ 10.00 or 50% marks.
- M.Sc. in Vegetable Science/ Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Plant Sciences with minimum OCPA 6.50/ 10.00 or 65% marks.
Note I: The applicant, who does not have a Master’s level in the pertinent subject, however, have PhD level in the technique needed at the Master’s level, will be qualified for the post.
Note II: Applicants with B.Sc. Biotechnology/Medical three year programme will be thought about just if NET/NET-LS/GATE gotten rid of.
Preferable: Preference will be given to applicant having experience in vegetable breeding/ molecular breeding.
