Applications are welcomed on the prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of Bank Draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. along with attested copies of certificates for these positions in differents projects as given listed below:
1. One position of Research Associate @ Rs. 47,000/- per month fixed + 16% HRA in the Project entitled “Mapping of phytophthora resistance in intergeneric rootstock population and development of improved rootstock in citrus” CSS-117 (PC-6322). Interview online on Zoom app at 02:15 a.m.
(i) For the position of Research Associate:
(i) B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/ 10.00 basis or 60% marks.
(ii) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Horticulture/Plant Pathology with a minimum of 6.50/ 10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.
(iii) Ph.D in Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Horticulture/Plant Pathology with
minimum OCPA 6.5/ 10.00 basis or 65% marks.Note-I: The candidates, that does not have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses a PhD degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: Applicant ought to have excellent abilities in the area of molecular biology, marker-assisted selection, expression analysis, breeding of perennial crops etc. as evident from high-quality first author publication( s) in peer-reviewed journals. Background knowledge of host-pathogen interactions and the ability to handle large datasets such as genomes or transcriptomes/metabolomes will be plus.
2. One Project Associate I @ Rs 31,000/- monthly fixed + 16% HRA in the Project entitled “Mapping of phytophthora resistance in intergeneric rootstock population and development of improved rootstock in citrus” CSS-117 (PC-6322). Interview online on Zoom app at 03:00 p.m.
For the position of Project Associate I:
(i) B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/ 10.00 basis or 60% marks.
(ii) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/ Horticulture/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Plant Pathology with a minimum of 6.50/ 10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.
Note-I: The candidates, who do not possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject, however, possess PhD degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: Maximum Age 35 Years.
3. One position of Research Associate/ Research Fellow @ Rs. 47,000/- monthly fixed + 16% HRA in the Project entitled “New varieties of direct seeded rice for farmers in lower middle income contries, Misc.( FC) -8” (PC-5541). Interview online on Zoom app at 04:00 p.m.
For the position of Research Associate:
(i) BSc with minimum OCPA 6.00/ 10.00 basis or 60% marks.
(ii) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Life Sciences with at least 6.50/ 10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.
(iii) PhD in Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Plant Breeding and also Genetics/ Life Sciences with minimum OCPA 6.5/ 10.00 basis or 65% marks.
Note-I: The applicants, who do not have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject, however, possess PhD degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: Applicant ought to have excellent skills in the area of molecular biology, marker-assisted selection and expression analysis, as evident from high-quality first author publication( s) in peer-reviewed journals. Background knowledge of genetics interactions and the capability to handle large datasets such as genomes or transcriptomes/metabolomes will be plus.
