India and Israel join forces to develop COVID-19 rapid testing system
India and Israel have decided to join forces in the highest level of R&D participation between both nations to develop rapid testing systems that can carry out COVID-19 tests within a minute. Authorities said the procedure had started and they hope to have the ability to bring out a test that would certainly allow individuals to safely step out and resume a regular life.
On 25 May 2020, the Israel embassy in India announced the new project via tweet -“Discussed joint R&D for rapid diagnosis based on big data and AI technology, to enable a rapid return to routine”. Israel’s defense minister introduced that Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBRI) had established a possible therapy for the COVID-19, by identifying a monoclonal antibody that reduces the effects of SARS-Co-2 outside a living organism or in vitro.
