Happy Birthday, Biotecnika! What Happened 13 Years Ago? Find Out!
The year was 2006 and the internet was sold at 700 Rs for a 64 kbps connection in Bengaluru.
At approximately 7 PM IST on 11th October 2006, after a long tiring day, the founders of a future revolutionary company finally decided on a name. A name that changed the way BioSciences is read, understood and imparted.
Yes, 13 years ago, the seedling for India’s No. 1 Bioscience Web Portal, was planted with utmost care.
With the passing days and years, the seedling grew tall and spread its branches over the Life Science and Chemical Science students and provided them with the fruits of knowledge and career guidance. Today, on October 11th, we wish Biotecnika a very Happy Birthday.
We started BioTecNika with a modest aim—create awareness about the Biotech / Life Science field around us. As our beloved BioSciences field grows in power and size, they are also turning the table of opportunities that exist around us. To write about the complexity of our field with fairness, accuracy, and independence—tenets of a great organization—requires resources, people and of course all of you, our beloved subscribers.
Since its inception, Biotecnika has been supporting the career aspirations of hundreds of thousands of students through its detailed website, conducted workshops, International conferences, countless courses, amazing faculty members, and a dedicated, hard-working support team.
