Neurimmune Announces Collaboration with Ono Pharmaceutical A global leader in the discovery and development of human-derived monoclonal antibodies, Neurimmune, has now announced that it has entered into a collaboration with Ono Pharmaceutical focused on the development of human antibodies against a novel therapeutic target for neurodegenerative diseases.
Under the terms of the accord, Neurimmune will conduct research to generate and validate human-derived monoclonal antibodies using its proprietary Reverse Translational Medicine (RTM) technology platform, while Ono will be exclusively responsible for worldwide development and marketing of products.
Neurimmune’s RTM platform employs high-throughput analysis of how the immune system of elderly people that stay particularly healthy as they age responds to disease proteins. Using this technology, the company has built a pipeline of promising candidates against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
